Together, We Can Change Lives

Our vision, values and mission

Our vision

A world where Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the UK and Ghanaian communities in Ghana have equal access to health, education and opportunity, regardless of where they live.

Our mission

Vita Aid improves health and education outcomes for Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities in the UK and Ghanaian communities in Ghana. We deliver free health screening and education, renovate schools and provide learning materials, teach practical and digital skills, and run community events that bring people together to clean up, celebrate and support one another. We work in partnership with community leaders and local organisations to make sure our support reaches the people who need it most.

Our values

Health equity. Everyone deserves access to health information and screening, wherever they live. We bring this directly to communities rather than waiting for people to find it.

Practical support. We focus on tangible, immediate help: food, transport, materials, renovated

classrooms. Support that meets people's real needs, not just good intentions.

Community first. We work with communities, not for them. Community leaders, volunteers and local partners shape what we deliver and how.

Dignity. Every person we work with is treated with respect. Our health education addresses topics

often left unspoken, including sexual health and period poverty, without stigma.

Consistency across borders. Our approach to health and education is applied with the same rigour whether we are working in Accra or in the UK. We do not treat one community's needs as more important than another's.
